It has a horrible tendency of crashing, it has a limited amount of files it accepts, it does not have a proper undo, its pans and zooms work in a really weird way, sometimes not at all properly, and worst of all, it randomly decides to destroy files.
I have finished fully colouring an animation just a few minutes ago, closed the file and doesn't want to open anymore. What is the problem? Flipbook has corrupted my file. This is the second time this has ever happened to me and I am really not pleased. It is a tremendous waste of time and energy all due to a program.
Does the program have pros? Sure. But do they balance out the cons? For something that is considered as a professional and recommended program, absolutely not.
A friend of mine just said this: even if it can do a bunch of stuff, the way you have to get it to do it is so convoluted it's not even funny, and then there's all the technical problems and the fact that you have to do bajillion steps to do one thing that can be done in one step in almost every other program. The only thing flipbook can do moderately well is rough animating and colouring and for what it's worth you can do the same thing easier/the same in alot of other programs and you won't have to deal with flipbook's issues.
It is quite lovely that Flipbook also decided to screw up my rough clean just now. So here is an image of what I am trying to finish.
